Boutique Hotel in SoHo

The Weekend Crisis That Almost Cost a GM His Job

The Problem: A boutique hotel with 100% weekend occupancy relied on their corporate-mandated supplier to deliver essential toilet paper and tissues on Friday. Friday came and went—no delivery. By Saturday morning, they were still out of stock.

The Breaking Point: Guestrooms couldn’t be turned over because paper products were unavailable. Guests who had paid for early check-in and high nightly rates were left waiting, and the GM faced both upset customers and potential corporate consequences for a failure outside his control.

Our Solution: We arranged an emergency Saturday delivery within 3 hours. A driver came in on the weekend to make a special delivery, ensuring the hotel could cover the weekend until their regular supplier’s next delivery. The remaining reservations were filled without delay.

The Result: Guest complaints were eliminated, the hotel’s reputation was protected, and the GM now has our direct cell number for future emergencies. Within 3 months, the hotel shifted 60% of their orders to us, allowing them to focus on delivering great guest experiences without worrying about supply shortages.
